Heavyocity Release New Distortion Designer: Fury
It seems that distortion plugins continue to be all the rage. Arturia announced the impressive Dist COLDFIRE just last month, and now renowned sound design plugin developers Heavyocity have released the latest in their line-up, FURY, an all-new distortion plugin. Fury offers an expansive range of options designed to allow musicians and producers to dial in precisely the distorted sound they are looking for, whether that is subtle tube warmth, hard clipping, lo-fi crush or analogue-modelled circuitry.
Fury comes with over 700 possible module combinations, allowing you to “mix and match the levels of boosting, mangling, and tonality — from a traditional distortion to a most obscure creation”. Modules include gate, feedback, pre/post distortion EQs, LFOs, envelope follower, sequencers, and a total of 29 drive and distortion modes.
The plugin ships with 128 presets in six categories (essentials, drums, experimental, guitars and bass, keys and synth, and rhythmic) and is available in 64-bit AAX, VST3, and AU formats for Pro Tools 2020+, Live 10+, Cubase 12+, Logic Pro X, DP10+, Cakewalk and Bitwig.
