Punk Labs Release OneTrick SIMIAN Drum Synth

Tiny development studio Punk Labs have released an open-source drum synth inspired by hexagonal 80’s classics like the Simmons SDS-V.

The VST3 and AU plugin features 10 configurable voices and 33 factory preset kits, with velocity-sensitive pitch, filter, and amp dynamics. Other features include an 1176-style limiter with drive control, saturation control and a gated reverb bus. All parameters within the synth are fully automatable within the DAW of your choice.

The plugin is DRM-free, open-source and runs on Windows, Mac and Linux. A full licence costs $35. Check out the product page on the Punk Labs website for more details and to hear the synth in action.
