Arturia Make Four Big Announcements

In their much anticipated Rendez-vous live stream, Arturia announced four additions and updates to their product line. First up was the third generation of their popular MiniLab controller.

The MiniLab 3 features:

  • A 25-note velocity-sensitive keyboard
  • 2 banks of 8 velocity & pressure sensitive pads with RGB backlighting
  • 8 rotary encoders
  • 4 sliders
  • 2 capacitive touch sensors for pitch bend and modulation
  • Real-time feedback on tweaks and controls

as well as Arturia’s very highly regarded arpeggiator and chord modules.

The second product announced was the Augmented Grand Piano, the latest in their “Augmented” line of virtual instruments.

From the Arturia website:

“Augmented GRAND PIANO delivers a multitude of expressive, contemporary, and abstract piano sounds, beautifully recorded, fused with cutting-edge synthesis, and brought to life with powerful modulation & expression tailor-made for modern composers & producers.”

The next announcement was for the MiniFuse 4, a versatile desktop audio interface featuring 2 combo Mic/Instrument/Line XLR inputs with 48V phantom power and 2 Instrument/Line TRS Inputs, 4 1/4″ TRS balanced line outputs, 2 stereo headphone outputs and USB-C as well as 5-pin MIDI in and out.

The final announcement was a big one – the MiniFreak. The big brother of the modern classic MicroFreak, the MiniFreak looks sure to take the synthesiser market by storm this year.
